With the help of Jerry Blaylock, we have started a project to update this inventory from recent obituaries. The updates will be in GREEN text.
The two largest cemeteries in Clinton County, Illinois, Carlyle City Cemetery (this index) and St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, adjoin each other and actually look like one huge cemetery. No signs exist to define one from another. The readings of these two cemeteries were completed as of 31 Dec 2002. The task of reading them took many months and was just the beginning. It took many more months to get all the data entered and organized.
