Resurrection Cemetery is the newer Catholic cemetery, opened when the St. George cemetery in New Baden was assumed to be filled. It is about a mile north of the Rte 160 and Rte 161 intersection, on the west side of the road. The stones are all new and extremely easy to read. Burial records at are the St. George Church.
For the purposes of this listing, we numbered the rows beginning with the baby row at the back of the circle drive. The grave numbers begin on the south side of the cemetery. Only one stone is in the new section west of the circle drive at this time, we called it B3.
S/w means “Shares stone with”. The Veteran’s tombstones are annotated as either Private Head Stones (PHS) or Government Head Stones (GHS) for use by the Illinois Veterans’ Commission in their next publication, see 1956 Veterans Honor Roll
