Beckmann, Theo Please help me to identify. The photo says Theo Beckmann and Caroline on the back. I can not identify a Theo (Theodore) Beckmann who would have been married to anyone named Caroline. Does anyone know this couple?

Mayhew, Reverend HenryHenry Mayhew was born in 1822 (the area of Bond County, IL that would become Clinton County, IL). He was the son of Daniel Mayhew, Sr. and Elizabeth Curtis. His maternal grandfather was Henry Curtis, Jr., enumerated on the 1820 Bond County, IL census as a Free Person of Color.

Slade, Joseph Alfred "Jack"Photo of oil painting of Joseph Alfred Slade, the original painting hangs in the Bale of Hay Saloon in Virginia City, Montana. It was painted from a description provided to the artist by an acquaintance of Jack.
Jack's physical description at age 18 is; 5' 6"; dark complexion; black eyes and light hair. This comes from his military papers dated October 16, 1848. His occupation at the time was listed as a farmer.
