Carl was born in Sandoval, and moved to Clinton Co with his parents shortly after his birth. With the exception of two 5 year stretches (1918-1923 and 1936-1941) he lived his entire life in Clinton Co.
Helen was born in Jefferson Co and moved to Clinton Co (Carlyle) with Carl in Mar 1941.

Slade, Joseph A "Jack"Slade's grave is located in Salt Lake City, Utah in the southwest corner of Plat B4, between cemetery streets Main and Center, and Fifth and Grand. The plot lies about fifty yards northeast of the Sexton's Office. The grave is one of the few marked graves in Plat B4, where it lies amidst a large, well-manicured grassy acre.
