1880 Mortality Schedule

Clinton County, Illinois

tiny.gif (3213 bytes)

This is a listing of the people that were reported as having died between 1 June 1879 and 31 May 1880, the census year, as collected by the census takers. It is supplemented by the Death Register that the County Clerk started keeping track of in 1878. At that point, it was recommended that death information be reported to the County Clerk, but it was not mandatory, there were some deaths not reported. As usual, writing was difficult to transcribe, so as always, check for several spellings, especially the phonic spelling.
