Officiates of Marriages
Clinton County, Illinois

This is a combination of the people that performed marriages that were recorded in Clinton County throughout the years plus some clues as to either their place of residence or the place the marriage took place. If you know the location for any of those with none shown, and if you'd like to share that with other researchers, please send an update to Dorothy.
There are a couple cases where the same person appears to be a minister and a justice of the peace. Perhaps these are uncle and nephew, etc. Perhaps it was just a clerk's error. A justice of the peace was elected/appointed for about three years at a time. Ministers/priests often moved from one congregation to another and might only be shown as one.
