Rites Tomorrow For Mrs. Krost
Funeral services for Mrs. Maude J. Krost, 72, of 1016 West. Clay Street, Collinsville, will be conducted at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Herr Funeral Home, Collinsville. The Rev. Elwyn Stafford and the Rev. Joseph Wright will officiate. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
Mrs. Krost, who had been ill for a month, died Sunday night at St. Joseph's Hospital, Highland. She was the wife of Ernest F. Krost, retired principal of the Slate Park Place School, west of Collinsville.
Born in Clinton County July 4, 1888, Mrs. Krost was a daughter of the late Elijah and Elizabeth Harris, nee Bailey. She and her husband observed their golden wedding anniversary last July. She lived in Collinsville for the past 10 years.
Surviving are three daughters, Ruth, wife of Ray Ortbals, and Dorothy, wife of George Kaufman, both of St. Louis, and Elizabeth Coigny of Collinsville; a son, Leroy Krost of Collinsville; a brother, George Harris of Keyesport, and 12 grandchildren. Mrs. Krost was preceded in death by two brothers, O. B. and William Harris.
Mrs. Krost was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star of Venice and the First Baptist Church of Collinsville.

Mrs. Ernest Krost Of Collinsville, Dies
Rites Held Wednesday
Mr. George Harris received word on Monday of the death of his sister, Mrs. Ernest Krost (the former Maude Harris) of Collinsville. Mrs. Krost passed away at St. Josephs' Hospital in Highland, after an illness of about three weeks.
She was a victim of leukemia but the cause of death was a heart attack.
Funeral services to be held in Collinsvillle on Wednesday, June 14. Both Mrs. Krost and her husband were former residents of Clinton County.

Mrs. Krost Dies at 72
Collinsville
Mrs. Maude J. Krost, 72, of 1016 W. Clay St., Collinsville, died at 8:10 p. m. Sunday at St. Joseph's, Hospital. Highland.
Funeral services will be at 2 p. m. Wednesday in the Herr Funeral Home, Collinsville. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Collinsville. Friends may call after 7 p. m. today at the funeral home.
She was [born] in Clinton County and lived in Collinsville 10 years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Venice and the First Baptist Church, Collinsville.
She is survived by her husband Ernest F. Krost, a retired principal of State Park Place School. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in July, 1960.
Other survivors include a son
Leroy of Collinsville; three daughters Mrs. Ray (Ruth) Ortbals and Mrs.
George (Dorothy) Kaufman, both of St. Louis, and Mrs. Elizabeth Coigny
of Collinsville; one brother George Harris of Keyesport, and 12
grandchildren.
