The body was removed to the Apple homestead near Keyesport, now occupied by Harold Apple, on Saturday afternoon, to lie in state until the funeral which was held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Keyesport Methodist church. The services were conducted by the Rev. Chas. Liston, Methodist minister of Assumption, and the Rev. W. E. Dickey, the pastor at Keyesport. The Bass Funeral Home of Greensville was in charge. Burial was made at the Duncan cemetery.
 

Mrs. Apple's maiden name was Ida Vilura SCOTT, a daughter of the late William and Eliza (KIGER) Scott, and she was born near Keyesport, October 21, 1859 and was aged 83 years, nine months and 15 days. She was married to J. B. Apple in Keyesport on October 17, 1880 by Justice Wm. Taylor. For thirty years they lived in that vicinity where they acquired large farm interests.
 

Seven children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Apple, three daughters and one son dying in infancy. Surviving her are two daughters, Mrs. ZOBRIST of Assumption and Mrs. Mabel QUAYLE of Decatur, and one son Scott Apple of Alhambra. Ernest O. KERSHNER lived in the Apple home for 16 years and was accepted as one of the family. Four grandchildren and four great grandchildren survive her. Mr. Apple died February 21, 1910. She was the last of her immediate family. She also leaves a foster grand daughter and two foster great grandchildren.
 

Mrs. Apple was a member of the Keyesport Methodist church, and also of Sunlight Rebekah Lodge at Keyesport.
 

Before the funeral party left the Zobrist home Saturday, brief services were held by the Rev. Chas. Liston of Assumption.
 

The pall bearers were Arch MCLAREN, Frank SCENDERMAN, George GUM, Wm. HARTNETT, Henry DUCKWORTH and Joe LODDICK. Honorary pall bearers were Sharp MCALISTER, J. P. KIRKHAM, Sam WANNAMAUGHER and A. B. SANDIFER. Mrs. Clarence Lowery of Decatur was soloist and her accompanist was Mrs. F. E. Kagy, also of Decatur. The floral offerings were profuse and varied in their beauty and the funeral was one of the largest ever held in Keyesport.
 

Among those from a distance were Dr. and Mrs. B. F. Zobrist, Mrs. Nelle Murphy, Mrs. Rose Dolan, Mrs. Wm. Myers, Mrs. Mary Moss, Mrs. Della Shipley, Mrs. Cora Burchfield, Mrs. Elizabeth Gray of Assumption, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Quayle, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. ADAMS and daughter, Patricia, Mrs. Beatrice HALL, Mrs. Leota Shepherd, Mrs. J. J. Thomas, and Mrs. Esther Rex of Decatur, David Quayle, Mr. and Mrs. Jack MEYERS of St. Louis, Seaman 2/c Gene ADAMS of Alameda, Calif, Frank Sharer of Olney, deputy grand master of the I.O.O.F. of Illinois, Don Scott of Harrisburg, a member of the I.O.O.F. Home Board and Mrs. Carrie Ashton and Mrs. Leva Hall, of Halper, Utah, the latter being past Rebekah Assembly President, representing the jurisdiction of Utah. Many friends were also present from Alhambra, Greenville and other points.
 

The members of Sunlight Rebekah Lodge of Keyesport, of which Mrs. Apple had been a member for 25 years, composed the floral committee.
