Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon from the late residence of the deceased at two o'clock and the interment will be in the Carlyle cemetery.

The maiden name of the deceased was Louvenia Jane Scott and she was born in Irvington, Washington county, July 28, 1856. She later made her home in Greenville. February 22, 1876, she was united in marriage with Samuel Clabaugh at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Sharp in Wade township, Mr. Sharp being his uncle. After their marriage, the couple lived on a farm south of Beckemeyer. Here they resided until 1885, when they moved to Carlyle and made their home here until their death. Mr. Clabaugh died April 18, 1921.

The couple was the parents of four children, three daughters and one son, all of whom are left to mourn a devoted mother and father. They are: Misses Nanny and Iva Clabaugh and Hope Clabaugh at home and Mrs. Walter Chadwell of East St. Louis. There are also left one grandchild, Charles Wesley Chadwell of East St. Louis; one sister, Mrs. Sarah Freemeier of Alton; and two brothers, Thomas Scott of O'Fallon and Charles Scott of Beckemeyer; besides many other relatives and numerous friends.

Mrs. Clabaugh was much devoted to her home and family and her loss will be keenly felt in her home and by her many relatives and friends.
