"We collected this information at the Salt Lake City LDS Library. The listing is incomplete. Emphasis was put on German names. We were able to get through the first two reels and halfway through the third reel. We tried to capture information from the wills that would help us in our family genealogy.
Source of the information came from the LDS Library microfilm #1007839, #1007840 and #1007841. The microfilm reels can be ordered through the local LDS Family History Centers. They are photographs of the original bound will books currently found at the Clinton County, IL Circuit Clerk's office. The books have an index in the front. Contained in these books are fairly legible handwritten wills followed a short record of the probate court. Sometime after 1900, the will books also contained death records." John & Nancy Moss
